Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using InvestorLens you agree to be bound by them.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the InvestorLens website (“the Service”) you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Educational research only — no advice

The Service is provided for general educational, informational, and research purposes. Nothing on InvestorLens is, or should be construed as, financial, legal, accounting, tax, or investment advice, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, or a recommendation of any particular strategy. InvestorLens is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, or fiduciary. The Service does not consider your individual financial situation, goals, or risk tolerance. Always conduct your own research and consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision.

3. Data sources and accuracy

All investor and politician data displayed is sourced from public regulatory filings, including SEC EDGAR (Form 13F) and STOCK Act Periodic Transaction Reports filed by Members of Congress. These filings are delayed by up to 45 days from the transaction date, and may not reflect current positions. Some holdings (cash, short positions, certain derivatives, non-U.S. securities) are not required to be reported and are not shown.

While we make reasonable efforts to ingest and present this data accurately, the Service is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability. You acknowledge that data may contain errors, omissions, or processing artifacts, and that any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.

4. AI-generated content

Portions of the Service — including filing summaries, plain-English explanations, and the “Why This Matters” notes — are produced by automated language models. AI output may contain factual errors, hallucinations, or outdated information, and should never be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision. Always verify against the underlying primary source (linked SEC EDGAR or House/Senate disclosure).

5. No copy-trading or auto-trading

InvestorLens is not a brokerage, custodian, robo-advisor, copy-trading service, or signal provider. We do not place trades, hold customer funds, route orders, or facilitate transactions of any kind. Any decision to follow, replicate, or ignore the holdings of any third party shown on the Service is solely your decision and responsibility.

6. No affiliation; trademarks

InvestorLens is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the firms, funds, or individuals referenced. All names, marks, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and educational commentary only.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or regulation;
  • Scrape, mirror, or republish data in bulk without permission;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the Service’s source code;
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt unauthorized access;
  • Misrepresent any information from the Service as personal investment advice tailored to a third party.

8. Accounts and watchlists

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in email. Watchlist and alert data are scoped to your user via row-level security. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

9. No warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INVESTORLENS, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, INVESTMENT LOSSES, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold InvestorLens and its operators harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also revise these Terms; continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction located there.

14. Contact
