The Conviction Card
How the 'Why are billionaires buying this?' card combines institutional, macro, and congressional signals on every stock page.
The Conviction Card
At the top of every stock page you'll find the Conviction Card — a single, plain-language answer to the question *"Why are billionaires buying this?"* It brings together several independent public-data signals so you don't have to piece them together yourself.
What it shows
Institutional Conviction (0–100) — How one-sided recent institutional activity has been in this stock, based on tracked investors' most recent 13F filings. It weighs how many tracked investors are buying versus selling, how broadly the name is held, and how many opened brand-new positions.
Macro Tailwind (0–100) — Whether the current macro environment has historically favored this stock's sector. It combines the Macro Health score with the sector's typical behavior in the current market regime. If no Macro Health score has been published yet, this line shows a dash.
Congressional Activity — Recent buying and selling in the stock disclosed by members of Congress under the STOCK Act, over the trailing six months.
Confidence — A single 0–100 read on how much the evidence agrees and how complete the underlying data is. It is deliberately never 100 — the data has real limits, and we say so.
Evidence, including the other side
Open the "Why? — Evidence & Confidence" panel and you'll see the reasoning in full: the supporting evidence, and — always — the contradicting evidence. If tracked investors are also selling, if the macro backdrop is a headwind, or if congressional trades lean the other way, it's shown right there. Most platforms hide disagreement. We put it on the same screen.
What it is not
- Not a buy or sell signal. It summarizes public positioning and context; it does not tell you what to do.
- Not real-time. 13F data can be up to 45 days old, and that caveat appears on every card.
- Not complete. Tracked investors are a sample of the market, not the whole market.
